These terms apply when you create an account on chemistryrevision.co.uk or buy a Premium plan. Please read them before you join. If anything is unclear, email support@chemistryrevision.co.uk.
1. About us
Chemistry Revision is the trading name of Syed Rahil, a sole trader, of 34 Lon Celynnen, Rhyl, LL18 4LZ, United Kingdom. Chemistry Revision runs this website, the companion site to the A Level Chemistry in 3 Months revision books. You can contact us at support@chemistryrevision.co.uk.
2. Independence from the exam boards
Chemistry Revision is independent. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by or approved by Pearson Edexcel or AQA. The names of the exam boards and their qualifications are used only to say which specification our material follows, and belong to their owners. All questions on this site are our own.
3. Who can join
The site is for A Level students and the adults who support them. If you are under 18, please make sure a parent or guardian is happy for you to join, and ask them to buy Premium for you if you need it. If you are under 16, a parent or guardian should help you create your account.
4. Your account
Please give accurate details and keep your password private. Your account is for one person only: do not share your login. We may suspend an account that is shared or misused.
5. Plans and prices
- Free: extra worked questions for the chapters in the books, and sample Premium material. There is no charge.
- Premium Monthly: £14.99 a month. Your plan renews automatically each month, and we take payment on the same date each month, until you cancel.
- Premium 3-Month Pass: £34.99, paid once. It gives Premium access for three months from the date you buy it and does not renew automatically. It also includes the eBook (PDF) editions of Volumes 1 and 2 of the book for your exam board.
Prices are in pounds sterling. The total you will pay, including any discount, is shown before you confirm your payment. Discount codes are subject to the dates and conditions shown with them and cannot be exchanged for cash. If we change the price of Premium Monthly, we will email you at least 30 days before the new price applies, and you can cancel before then.
6. Payment
Payments are processed securely by Stripe. We do not see or store your full card details.
7. Cancelling Premium Monthly
You can cancel at any time from your account. You will not be charged again, and you keep Premium until the end of the month you have already paid for.
8. Your right to change your mind
When you buy online, the law usually gives you 14 days to change your mind. Premium gives you digital content straight away. So at checkout we ask you to agree that your access starts immediately and that, once it does, you lose your legal right to cancel.
Even so, if you are unhappy and email us within 14 days of your first payment, we will refund it in full, as long as you have not downloaded the eBooks included with the 3-Month Pass.
9. If something goes wrong
If any digital content we supply is faulty or not as described, you have rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, including a repair, a replacement or, in some cases, a refund. Please tell us and we will put it right. Nothing in these terms affects your legal rights.
10. Using our material
All content on the site and in the eBooks, including questions, worked solutions, notes, videos and recall cards, belongs to Chemistry Revision and is protected by copyright. You may use it for your own study. You may not copy, share, upload, sell or pass it on, or use it to build other courses or question banks. eBooks are licensed to the buyer for personal use and must not be shared.
11. Educational content
We work hard to make our material accurate and up to date with each specification, but we cannot guarantee any exam result. If you find a mistake, please tell us and we will correct it.
12. Availability and changes
We aim to keep the site available at all times, but it may occasionally be unavailable for maintenance or reasons outside our control. We may improve or change features. If we make a change that significantly reduces what Premium includes during a period you have paid for, we will tell you and you can cancel and receive a refund for any unused time.
13. Ending your account
You can close your account at any time by emailing us. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, for example by sharing logins or copying our material. If we do so without good reason, we will refund any unused Premium time.
14. Our responsibility to you
If we fail to meet these terms, we are responsible for loss or damage you suffer that is a foreseeable result of that failure. We are not responsible for loss that was not foreseeable, for business losses, or for content you access through links to other websites. Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else the law does not allow us to limit.
15. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. We will show the date of the latest version at the top and tell members by email about significant changes.
16. Law
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. If you live in Scotland or Northern Ireland, you can also bring proceedings in your local courts.
